All OPM systems have an outdoor controller, being a self contained enclosure fixed to the antenna mast. In here we find, -apart from power supplies-, the main electronic board which is equipped with a RJ-45 connector for IP connection to the user network or PC. There is no additional indoor equipment, beacon receiver or whatsoever.

The main electronic board contains a Single Board Computer (SBC), motor control electronics, GPS receiver, IP interface etc. All data concerning station configuration, orbit constellation and Inclined Satellite motion models are stored here at installation time. Orbit data updates can be made in an easy manner by the end-user over lifetime; but in general this will only be very rarely.
