The areas where OPM systems can be employed are only limited by your imagination. To mention some of the most obvious:

– Satellite operators who need to inspect downlink spectra and traffic activity on different satellites at remote locations. Including inclined satellites in a fully transparent manner!

– Network operators who wish to reduce the space segment costs by accessing Inclined Satellites in a reliable manner. At the same time obtaining the capability to instantaneously re-point the network to a different satellite on a different orbit position. Thus creating backup with respect to space segment availability and increasing resiliency.

– Broadcast companies that are collecting material regularly but intermittently through different satellites.

This is only a very small list of examples; one (you !?) can easily imagine many more.
